Anamaria Marinca, a Romanian-born actress. Her debut on screen was with her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for the Best actress. Speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian well. Her father, a theatre professor in one of the top Romanian theater schools, also an instructor in theatre. In the Mangalia Gala of Young Actors, she won the Best Female Actor Award 2000. In 2008, she was recognized as an 'Eastern Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She taught for four years at University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu Iasi. bAnamaria Marina is a Romanian actor who was born at Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. Anamaria Marinca was born in Romania and made her film debut with Sex Traffic. For this she received the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress. Alongside her impressive performance in her debut film the actress is also famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 Months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, like the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 luni 3 saptamani e 2 zile" (4 months, three weeks and Two Days) which won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. The film also earned two additional awards: The Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. She appeared in 2008 as Yasim Angwar, the BBC five-episode Miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca is a regular on the Romanian drama Boogie along with Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven. Then, she played major roles in 2014's Fury where she was Irma her German maternal aunt to Emma.
