Awkwafina
American musician and actor Awkwafina debuted with sly rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was via the trumpet. Alongside classical music and jazz, Nora Lum started to study hip-hop during her teens. When she was in college, she concentrated on her studies and majored both in women's study and journalism. In a short period during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. After graduating, she began to concentrate on music. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut LP Yellow Ranger. On the album, there was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitchethe cost of $. This track was directly linked to another project, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in the year 2015. A musician and author was on her resume she began looking for acting in a third project. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018, with several movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
